In this article we are going to discuss how to decorate your beloved home on a budget. I post a lot of products on my site from Amazon, a store that I absolutely love that I personally feel has virtually everything. There are other cools places to find goodies as well. You may have renovated your home recently or you are just wanting to change things up a bit. Perhaps you are wanting to paint or get around to things you haven't done in awhile. Maintaining a home isn't always easy. Not only do we have monthly expenses, a lot of us live paycheck to paycheck. Appliances fail, water leaks occur and the list goes on. As we all know, with inflation occurring, everyday items are more expensive right now than they were a few years ago.
So, what is a girl to do? I am not an affiliate for Dollar General, and I am not an affiliate for Big Lots, but both of these stores have really cool items at a discount price and I love both of these stores. I must admit that after I remodeled my home, I would regularly stop in at these two stores for normal necessity items and I would find wall decor, blankets, kitchenware and other items that were adorable and matched my home. I still would occasionally order something online, for example, my floating wall entertainment center for my television, but I shopped a lot at these stores also. Sometimes I would wait until the items were on sale. I would buy one thing here and there. I didn't try and buy everything at once. I started out buying what I needed a little at a time and as the time went on, if I saw something I liked, reasonably priced, I would pick it up. That's right, everything nearly on my walls were purchased at a discount price.
What about appliances if you are remodeling? What about paint? Well, I would wait for holiday sales to purchase paint or appliances from normal retail stores. Black Friday specials are a great time to purchase appliances as you can usually get 40% to 50% off on all major appliances. As with painting, Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend are great times to look for deals on paint and you can usually get around 40% off on paint during these times. Try to begin looking for deals and specials online about two weeks before the holiday so that you know when the sale begins. Often the discounts will begin a week before the actual holiday.
We live in a World where we think we need to do everything at once but we don't. Do it at your own pace and have patience because in the long run, doing things at your own pace will save you money. Wait for holiday sales, hold out on purchasing the item you want until it goes on sale, and try to find stores that offer cool items at a discounted price.
